All-State Show Choir

Kassy Krause holds degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Illinois State University and Lorenzo de’Medici in Florence, Italy. She has performed professionally at Chicago’s iconic Orchestra Hall and Ravinia, singing Bernstein’s Mass with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, which premiered on the PBS series “Great Performances”. Her choirs have been invited to perform all over the world, presenting concerts in Bejing, Shanghai, Paris, Barcelona, Rome and most recently in Budapest, Prague, and Vienna.

In her thirteenth year as a music educator, Krause is an active member of the Illinois Music Educators Association and has served as the Repertoire & Standards Chair for Show Choir on the American Choral Directors Association board where she led the Illinois All-State Show Choir. Kassy was awarded the 2014 Fame Aspire Award for Best New Director and the same year her show choir, Flight, won Most Promising New Program. She maintains an active schedule of adjudicating and workshopping show choirs nationwide, has vocal directed all state show choirs in Alabama and Indiana and is honored to serve as a Vocal Clinician at Showchoir Camps of America for over 10 years.

Kassy is the Director of Vocal Music at Wheaton North High School in the Chicago suburbs where she conducts five curricular concert choirs and directs the award-winning extra-curricular show choir, Flight.

Ellie Jordan is a highly regarded freelance choreographer based in Chicago, Illinois, and a standout figure in the world of dance and performance arts. Ellie laid the foundation for her career at Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Her mastery includes a wide variety of dance disciplines, encompassing Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Tap, and Hip-Hope, blending her technical skills and artistic finesse.
Beyond show choir, Ellie”s choreography has been seen at Six Flags Great America and numerous theatrical productions, including Singin’ in the Rain, The Little Mermaid, Phantom of the Opera, Godspell, and West Side Story. Ellie was a member and part of the creative team of the Hip-Hop ConnXion-Michigan Dance Company. Her Versatility shines through in these various artistic ventures.
Ellie’s contribution to the show choir art form has been honored with the FAME Aspire award. She further shares her expertise as a clinician and executive adviser at Showchoir Camps of America during the summer, where she loves to inspire the next generation of performers, directors, and choreographers. Ellie maintains a busy schedule choreographing for multiple award-winning high school and middle school show choirs nationwide. She is grateful for her roles as an adjudicator and clinician at various show choir competitions and All State Festivals throughout the year.
